Aldasorber Medical Filter

Created by the Cardiff School of Medicine in the 1970’s, the Cardiff Aldasorber is now a key staple across the medical and veterinary industries.

Charcoal inside the device absorbs the exhaled waste Halothane gasses from the operating theatre, minimising the effects of long term exposure to Halothane based products.

Not suitable for use with nitrous oxide as charcoal cannot absorb it.

The Aldasorber canister can be connected directly to the scavenging tubing from the patient circuit expiratory valve. From there the charcoal inside the chamber absorbs organic anaesthetic gases e.g. Halothane and Isoflurane. Once full simply dispose and replace.

Observe the canisters weight to allow you to replace in a timely manner. 1 large Aldasorber absorbs 200g of waste gas.
