At Datesand, we’re extremely passionate about doing our bit as and when we can. Charity is truly at the heart of what we do and we usually have regular events to raise money for a number of causes that truly need it.
In July, Helen, Bex, Peter, Sam, Nilgun & Alanah came together and aimed to raise money for The Wellspring, a local food bank, by walking, running and cycling a total of 350 miles.
It’s fair to say they absolutely smashed it! In total, £250 was raised and 442 miles were travelled!
Bex also took on her own challenge in October. Most know October for ‘Go Sober For October’ and so Bex took on Cancer Research UK’s ‘Dryathlon’ challenge, meaning no alcohol for the whole month. CRUK is an organisation close to all of our hearts, and we are delighted to report that Bex was able to raise £186!
One thing we haven’t let this pandemic do is put other aspects of health and safety in the workplace on hold!
When we were able to have most of the team back in the office, we organised some essential training for our group of fire marshalls, to ensure that we could put the trust in our own staff, should we ever need it.
It’s fair to say that each member got truly stuck into the training - especially on the practicals!
